Scott stands out in the bluegrass music landscape with a distinctive vocal style, a repertoire of original compositions, inventive interpretations of traditional classics and modern progressive influences, creating a sound uniquely his own. He grew up on the East Coast playing and harmonizing in bluegrass bands with his father and other bands (Karl Werne Band, Kristi Stanley, Big Virginia Sky) and Denver, COβs Scott Slay and the Rail. He has won multiple songwriting awards and was a finalist in guitar and mandolin instrumental competitions at Rocky Grass. He is a music educator and holds a B.A. in Music Education and Jazz Performance. He has recorded, collaborated, and shared stages with artists such as Sammy Shelor, Scott Vestal, Jeremy Garrett, Sierra Hull, Sarah Jarosz, Burle Galloway, Josh Shilling, Jim Vancleve, Mike Munford, and many others. His 2019 solo album βThe Rail,β can be found on all streaming platforms. Presently, Scott is a core member of the Colorado bluegrass band Slay & Stinson. Megan Snook was born on the plains of southwestern Kansas. She received her first camera on her fifth birthday and has been making photographs ever since. Megan has traveled extensively throughout North America and Africa. These travels inspired her to begin her documentary photography career at an early age, leading her to study journalism and anthropology at Indiana University. She currently operates wet plate collodion photography studios in both Bloomington, Indiana, and Evergreen, Colorado.
